Author, journalist, and photographer Jonathan C. Slaght will be at the Douglas County Library on Saturday, April 15, 2023. Jonathan is a wildlife biologist for the Wildlife Conservation Society and one of the world’s foremost experts on Blakiston’s fish owl. His book “Owls of the Eastern Ice” earned the Minnesota Book Award (general nonfiction) in 2021. 

Jonathan will be at the library from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Join us for a lively conversation about his efforts to save the world's largest owl and his nonfiction writing. This will be followed by a 30-minute Q & A and book signing.
