Postcrossing is a low commitment revolving penpal. A great activity for introverts, armchair travelers, and those who are unable to see the world in person at this time.
What is Postcrossing? A great hobby to introduce kids and adults to the world, for shy or introverted people to connect to others, see the world from your mailbox, practice penmanship, it’s a more meaningful way to connect with others, it feels like receiving gifts in the mail, learn others’ perspectives, and practice the art of snail mail.
How much does it cost? The program is free; the only costs are postage and cards. At this class, postcards will be available for people to choose from to get started.
How do I get started?/I want to know more. Please come to our meeting here at the library! Brittany has been Postcrossing for two years and wants to introduce more people to Postcrossing! She believes it’s a great way to connect people across borders, generations, and all walks of life. Our mailboxes are too full of bills and junk mail – it’s time to put something meaningful back in them.
